Here are just some of the coach trips available from your hotel in Nice.

Crowds pack the market, where colour and bargains await. But close at hand are the peace and quiet of the countryside, where you can enjoy an Italian meal followed by a visit to the Ligurian village of Dolce Acqua, which has retained its medieval character.

Explore the Principality of Monaco, including The Rock, the cathedral, the changing of the guard on Palace Square and lunch in the old town. Visit to the famous Oceanographic Museum in the afternoon.

Guided tour of the old town, taking in the port, the church, the narrow streets, the fortifications and the Place des Lices. Tour of the citadel with its panoramic views over the gulf, the peninsula, the luxury villas and the sailors’ cemetery. Return by boat in the late afternoon.

Through the Var valley to Touët and climb on board the famous Train des Pignes. Journey of around 1 hour 20 minutes along the line’s most scenic route through tunnels and across viaducts. Lunch in a village inn. An afternoon spent exploring the town of Entrevaux, fortified by Vauban, with its cathedral, bread oven and narrow streets.
The programme includes a gourmet tasting session.
